The game was released in a very unfinished state - every aspect of the game was infested with bugs and missing mechanics. Eventually most issues were fixed (the developers released 30 (!) patches during the first half year - a patch count which is usually reserved for persistent universe games) but of course they already received a lot of flack from press and buyers after release. This even went so far that producer Johann Ertl
left the team a month after release and said he had no influence on the release date.
