Description

Red Skies over Europe is an arcade combat flight simulation. The player takes the seat of the Axis or USSR fighter plane during the World War II. The game features 3 aircrafts (MiG-3, Messerschmitt Bf 109, Yak-9) and 40 single missions to choose from. The game is based on RenderWare engine used in Pacific Warriors II: Dogfight, featuring multiple camera views, volumetric cloud effects and all kinds of weather.

After the mission briefing, the player can purchase various upgrade enhancements for the airplane, such as machine guns, rockets, bombs, piston modification, flap hydraulics, stabilizer hydraulics, thin fuselage plates. The upgrades take a specified amount of stars, received for successful completion of the mission. The stars award depends on the difficulty of the mission.

Starting and landing is performed by a computer. The player focuses only on the designated mission, which usually involves destroying or protecting the indicated target or unit.
