Description

In Reperfection: Volume 1, the player takes the role of Ben Freeman. The game starts just before his wife Sarah takes a shower and drives away to fetch their son from school - just to be involved in a deadly driving accident. During the funeral, Ben looks Sarah in the eyes and suddenly is back at the starting scene. Can he change the past and save his wife?

This is a point & click adventure presented in a comic panel style: it is completely black & white (except the pointer which turns red when hovering over a hot spot), dialogue is shown in speech bubbles and there is next to no animation. The idea is simple: Ben goes back in time, changes some parameters, looks what happens, goes back in time again by looking a dead person in the eye, repeat. For example, in the first scene he can manipulate the car, knock Sarah out or convince her to stay home - just to discover that their son dies if he uses the school bus. So over time he learns more and more about the accident and what may be done about it. Because of the principle of the game, the scenes have to repeated multiple times in order to advance the story.

Moving the pointer over a hot spot and clicking brings up a context menu with different choices, e.g. looking at an item, taking it or using an item from the inventory. There are no traditional puzzles to solve.
