Description

You return as B.J. Blazkowicz to stop Heinrich Himmler's genetic mutations from over-running the planet, in this sequel to the classic first-person shooter, Wolfenstein 3D.

It is a bit unclear as to what the contents for the Collector's Edition were, it all depended on how soon you pre-ordered from ID's website. Some came out with a clothes patch and a poster, some others just with the poster and a bonus cd and others only with the bonus cd. That's why the collector's contents aren't listed on the back cover as they usually are.

The cd contains: a Screen Saver, Making-of for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and some video and music tracks.

Trivia

The German release contains the first version of the manual, the only one in which a swastika was visible; more specifically in the description of the X-creatures adversaries. Activision froze distribution and let some employees blacken the offending image with permanent marker. This cover-up would be easy to undo with window cleaner or nail polish remover, but an unchanged issue has a higher value to collectors.
