Reunion

So, lets get on with the showdown. The gameplay is pretty good, but as I've mentioned above, the story picks up only in the second half of the game, so have some patience. The navigation can be a bit cumbersome at the beginning, but you will get used to it. Again, I repeat, read the manual before playing. Secondly, the graphics are more than satisfactory, really nice on the eyes, and fun to look at. As for the music and sounds, they don't fall back much (try to ignore the cheesy narrator with a Hungarian accent during the introduction). Overall, this is a must-have for every strategy game lover out there. Those of you that tend to be impatient should perhaps avoid this game :)

Kaikesta huolimatta Reunion on mielenkiintoinen toiminta-/strategiapeli. Se vaatii runsaasti aikaa, joten se tietää unettomia öitä. Kun grafiikka on miellyttävää ja pelitoiminnat ergonomisia, eli miellyttävää pelaamista varten suunniteltuja, on kuitenkin ilo viettää aikaa tietokoneen ääressä.

Reunion's exploration, colony building, and military strategy provide its depth. Takes a loooong time to get to the good stuff. Too much time is spent with busy work. An interesting, accessible game undetermined somewhat by a slow beginning and too much micro-management.

Graphically the game is nothing to shout about and, as I have pointed out earlier, a lot of the introductory sequences are little more than black and white sketches. But that's not really what is needed in this style of game.

Nettes, durchaus komplexes Weltraum-Strategiespiel - aber kein Langzeit-Fessler vom Kaliber eines Master of Orion. Reunion hat seine Qualitäten, ist aber ein wenig umständlich und grafisch bieder - sowohl auf Floppy als auch auf CD-ROM.

Fräscha saamplingar, häftiga filmsekvenser och lite talad dialog? Nix! Enda fördelen är att CD-versionen inte tar någon plats på hårddisken.
