Description

Rikki and Mikki discover that their grandfather has been kidnapped. This great scientist was apparently abducted by forces from the beyond. The two siblings must travel through The Secret Garden, The Lost Temple and finally through the Northern Way in order to find their Grandfather and return him to his castle home.

Rikki and Mikki is a game very similar in play to the Bomberman series. You choose your character from the two siblings and travel through the three worlds with twenty levels each for a total of sixty levels and collect jewels, coins. The pathway is not so easy though, you will have to fend off mummies, ghosts, robots and other baddies while using your bomb vials to clear a pathway to collect the jewels to open the exit. Bonuses are rewarded for clearing a level of all monsters and you can even sometimes find bonuses which will enable you to run faster or become invincible. While the levels are mostly straightforward get-the-jewels-and-go type games there are surprises in store such as levels that are illuminated only by explosions you set off and levels where the map shifts in sync to your explosions. There are even teleporters and stacks of dynamite to add to the challenge. At the end of every world there will be a boss battle involving explosives that appear randomly in your path and which can entrap you while you're trying to collect enough jewels to open the gateway.
