All in all, this is the best Spidey game I have ever played. The frantic side-scrolling gameplay keeps you on your toes, and it fits the Spidey character to a tee. The game's control is rock-solid, and it does a great job of getting across Spidey's lightning-quick reflexes, which you will need if you hope to succeed in this game. The sound of the game is great. Although some of the sound effects are a bit too over the top for their own good. This game does an amazing job at capturing the characters it uses. All of them fit their comic-book personas perfectly. If you are a fan of Spidey, and you are looking for the best Spidey game out there, pick this game up.
The Video Game Critic
The graphics are slightly improved, and feature more interesting levels and backgrounds than the first game. Cartoon quality cut-scenes are used to convey the story, and although they can take a while to sit through, they're pretty darn funny (unintentionally?). Other cool features include a password save feature and a gallery of artwork. Thumbs up!

I feel like this one got overlooked as another cash-in CD “remake” of an existing Genesis game, but that’s not the case. They actually took some time with this one, and made a version significantly improved over the original. The missing features aren’t critical to gameplay, and the added ones – new levels, faster movement, the overworld map – are definitely worth the trade. The animated cutscenes are a cheese factory, but at least they made the effort, and most of the CD tracks make for excellent wall-crawling background themes. In all, a pretty great Spider-Man game worth checking out for web-head fans.
Spider-Man's in a jam and you'd be be prepared to do some jamming to help him out. Webhead fans have no choice, this is the best web slingin' game around. Now Spider-Man isn't the only one who does whatever a spider can.
