Final Fight CD

Believe it or not, Edi E., is actually the easiest boss in the Sega CD and arcade versions of Final Fight.

Just simply follow these steps and see the pictures below.

1. Right at the beginning of scene 3 of Level 3, after the cage match with the Andore enemies, you will come across a billboard that has a pipe weapon when you smash it.

2. Do not get the pipe right away, defeat any enemies around first.

3. Get the pipe after you have defeated the enemies nearby and proceed forward.

4. You will encounter about eight more enemies, just clobber them with the pipe and use your desperation attack if you have to. Just don’t get hit or you may end up dropping and losing the pipe.

5. When you get close to the area where Edi E. is, just slowly creep up until you see his lifebar appear, then move back and stand close to the trash can and green car.

6. Just simply wait and Edi E. will come to you. When he gets close enough, clobber him with the pipe.

7. He will get up and come towards you again, so just clobber him again and repeat from here on. You won’t have to worry about any enemies coming to help Edi E., it will just be you and him fighting as long as you stand by the trash can and green car.

8. After you get him down to about 60% health, that’s when he goes into phase 2 where he begins shooting. He should be easy to deal with from here.

Note: If you’re playing as Cody, you can use one of the knives the El Gado enemy from the start may have dropped instead of the pipe. The knife does more damage than the pipe, but it’s easy to end up accidentally throwing and it has short range. This strategy will also work in the arcade version since the Sega CD plays very close to the arcade original. It will not work on the Super NES since it plays a little differently and there’s no pipe on the way to Edi E. in that version.

You will find a pipe at the beginning of the scene.

Beat any enemies around first, before getting the pipe.

You will come across more enemies as you proceed. Use the pipe and desperation move to beat them.

Slowly creep up to the area where Edi E. is until his lifebar appears.

Wait and he will come towards you.

Clobber him with the pipe when he's close enough and repeat from here.
