All Game Guide
Alex Kidd: High-Tech World is very different from the other games in this series and should be approached with caution. If you are looking for the same fun of other games featuring Alex Kidd, avoid this one. The game is primarily geared toward players who prefer to solve puzzles.

Insgesamt ist Alex Kidd – High Tech World das schlechteste Alex Kidd Game, was einzig und allein daran liegt, das es eben kein Alex Kidd Spiel ist.

Alex Kidd: High-Tech World's gameplay makes a change from most console products so is worthy of Sega owners' attention.

High-Tech World was yet another disappointing sequel to Alex Kidd in Miracle World. It's just a total shame that Sega would do something like this when the Master System was suffering due to Nintendo's strangle hold on the video game market. It would have made more sense had they decided to give it their all and make a completely new game, but something tells me that money was becoming an issue. Otherwise, I don't believe this sad title would have even been considered.

This is fun? No, it’s not. It did occur to me that the game is very short. A silly castle sequence, a short forest stretch, a inane village experience, and finally another forest bit and it’s all over. A sad, bitterly funny scene featuring Alex playing an arcade game, saying ''Hey! These Sega games are great!'' concludes the misery almost mockingly. Sega only manages to make High Tech World seem long enough to publish as a legitimate 8-bit adventure by virtue of all the dying and ensuing repetition that the poor design necessitates. While the horrid platformer parts can’t be helped, you could consult a FAQ to ease through the puzzle parts, making the whole thing a tiny bit less painful. You could do that. Or you could just not bother at all.
