To start at a higher area number: Press both Button 1 and Button 2 twice, Then, while holding down both of them, move the D-Pad up and down until the area number you wish to begin at is indicated on the screen.

To start at a higher round number, just follow the instructions above, but this time, move the D-Pad right and left.
