After I wrote the preview, we got the final version in, and, unfortunately, there are no new levels. But even with the fairly small assortment of missions, this game has tons of replay value. Good graphics, lots of originality and a great control scheme make Iron Rain the only mech game I've ever truly enjoyed. A very well designed game.

Gungriffon rocked my world. Once I overcame my control clumsiness, the visceral immersion of this title took over. I was spellbound. I even started having dreams about the bloody thing. Don't fool yourself, even if Sega ain't dropping a bundle on the promotion of this title, it's still one of the best things you can do for your Saturn. Arm yourself with it.

Auch heute überzeugt der schnelle, intelligent durchdachte, atmosphärische und taktisch angehauchte Actiontitel. Saturn Besitzer können froh sein, einen solch gelungenen Mech-Titel zu besitzen. Schade, dass der Umfang sehr gering ausgefallen ist. Ein paar mehr Trainings- und Hauptmissionen hätten sehr zum Wiederspielwert beigetragen. Aber dieser ist auch so durchaus vorhanden. Wer dem nicht total abgeneigt ist, für den lohnt sich der Kauf, und evtl. auch der des zweiten, nur in Japan erschienenen Teils.
