Bury your Playstation now!! Sakura Taisen 2 is the last experience for a hardcore Saturn gamer... I can't wait for Sakura Wars 3. Dreamcast, maybe??

So buy buy buy this game! Especially since the PC version of the first game is finally coming out and you want to go right on playing after you beat the first one, don't you? Also, the soundtracks are very worthy of purchase…the character image songs are so good! And the animation alone is worth the look! The character design is beautiful!

All in all, I can't rave enough about how good this game really is, and I recommend it to anybody and everybody that is even remotely interested in this wonderful series. Intermediate Japanese knowledge is required if you hope to fully understand the story, but it's very do-able even for limited speakers if you're simply playing to enjoy the sights and sounds. I consider it the best game of '98 thus-far, and give it an almost perfect score. Seek out and enjoy!

Basically Sakura Taisen 2 is everything I think a sequel should be. Fun to play with new elements that improve on its predecessor, while still retaining the feel of the original. It is easily a must have Saturn game for those who can understand it and except for my quips with the battle graphics and sounds, the game is virtually as good as it gets. With Sakura Taisen 3 heading over to the Dreamcast in the future, it looks like Ohgami and co. aren't leaving anytime soon. So if you haven't tried either of the first two titles yet, I suggest you look into them, as they are easily among the upper echelon of Saturn software.
