Foncez !
In the end, this game is just too little of too much good stuff. I love picking this game up and playing it. It always gives me a good time, and I can play it for 10 minutes and feel satisfied. On the other hand, if I try to play it for something closer to an hour or two, I definitely feel like I've had enough, as I just end up repeating things at that point. That being said, going down again and again and racking up an ever increasing trick score as you learn more of each level can be a lot of fun. If this game had (most importantly) more tracks, and if the characters were better differentiated from one another, this game would get a higher score. As it is, I still find this to be one of the most entertaining games in my Saturn collection, and I enjoy it as much, if not more than Cool Boarders. If you're into snowboarding games, nothing comes close on Saturn.
J´y retourne ! Y a une foutue rampe qui me tient tête !

After practically every run, the game prompts you to enter your initials and save, which is a real hassle. And instead of letting you change courses between runs, the poorly-designed menus force you to quit back to the main menu first! Finally, the soundtrack is bizarre and generally bad. It's got this new age/techno thing happening, but the repetitive beats sound like a broken record. Turn it down so you can hear the "whoosh" of the snow instead. Steep Slope Sliders has some problems, but if you want a good winter game for the Saturn, this won't let you down.
Working against Steep Slope Sliders is a sadly absent tournament mode (you keep racing down the same course until you decide to select a new one), CPU boarders to race against, and a two-player split-screen option. It's a good enough game, but these factors keep it from being a great one.
Steep Slope Sliders is a good example of Saturn gaming - some extremely bright spots overshadowed by a roughshod and incomplete feeling product. The 'extreme' imagery just doesn't match the lackluster play. If you're a boarder who's dying to catch monster pixel-air, then take a peek at this one. For everyone else, rent before yah buy.
