It's a testament to Sensible Soccer's supreme playability that it was the only game capable of knocking Anco's Kick Off II from its position as the ultimate footy sim. However, as is always the case, the best could have been better, and whilst Sensible Soccer outflanked Anco's aging star in terms of playability, realism, and graphical finesse, its goalies were veritable Helen Kellers and it completely ignored fouls, red cards, and bookings. Time restrictions could have been blamed as Renegade were keen to get Sensible out in time for the European Championships, but even without these features, the Sensi boys did good.

Morning, Stuart. IT IS THERE! WHAT A GOAL! Oh, is that the new version of Sensible Soccer? FANTASTIC! DID YOU SEE THAT ONE? Could you stop shouting please? WHAT? YOU ARE KIDDING! A YELLOW CARD FOR THAT? Mark, could you make Stuart be quiet? I NEVER TOUCHED HIM! OH NO, WATCH OUT FOR THE FREE KICK! Oh look, Estonia just equalised. That is so very interesting. SHUT UP! THERE ARE NO EASY GAMES IN WORLD FOOTBALL!

First division fun at its supposed to be, the control is complex yet easy to get to grips with, it'll only take you ten minutes to master the basics and put an extra twenty on top of that for the trickier manoeuvres. Forget all the second rate footy games, Sensi soccer 1.1 is the best in the business.

At the end of the day Brian, it's not only a faithful conversion of a classic, it's an incredibly fun slice of frantic footballng action that's guaranteed to win an army of new fans.

There are some really thoughtful features in Sensible Soccer that, if combined with diverse and complicated gameplay, would have made it a competitor in the sport of mobile soccer games.

Gameplay is very fast paced and, trust me, you will need quick reflexes to play it successfully. Graphics are pretty funny, and the sound is standard. Nothing spectacular from this game, so it deserves a mark of 3 for being fun, but with many features lacking. However, it can get quite addictive so be careful :)
