Description
Shady O'Grady's Rising Star is a complete musician simulator/role-playing game with a heavy dose of strategy thrown in. You start the game as a young aspiring musician in an American city of your choice in a music genre of your choice.
Game days pass one at a time and you must use your time wisely to progress. On the weekends you attend gigs where you can check out the local scene and make some connections for yourself. During the week it's time to write some songs, practice those songs and put together a band of similar minded fellow musicians, all while doing odd jobs to earn a crust.
In time you'll get gigs, hire managers, record and release your songs and go on nationwide tours hoping to promote your album to the top of the charts. And all along, you'll have to deal with the internal politics and egos of the band members and hold them together against all the odds.
