Despite having 2 completely different plots, settings, characters, etc., Shivers 2 does contain a small reference to the first game: in the library, you can find a book written by Hubert Windlenot, the professor from the original Shivers.

The second CD contains not only the soundtrack to Shivers 2 (featuring excellent songs by the band, Trip Cyclone) but also a medley of the soundtrack from the first Shivers.
