Description

Shredder 9 is a chess engine embedded in the Fritz interface.

Compared to other chess games, Shredder (like other chessbase products) is maybe less graphically impressive but has more different features.

Most features are aimed at helping you improve your chess skills and there are, for example, various options to analyze your game so that you can spot different kinds of mistakes or to train your endgame skills (these are just a few examples). Also most features are aimed at players who are not beginners anymore

Shredder 9 is among the three strongest chess engines on the market and has an elo rating of around 2800 (but this of course depends on the computer speed). Shredder has won numerous computer world chess championships over the years.
