Shrek 2: The Game to bardzo przyjemna platformówka dla dzieci. Gra charakteryzuje się kolorową grafiką, ciekawymi lokacjami oraz bardzo dobrze przygotowaną oprawą dźwiękową. Każdy dzieciak będzie miał z niej radochy co nie miara!

Gra Shrek 2 wzbudza we mnie mieszane uczucia. Z jednej strony program nie oferuje niczego nowego, jest po prostu kolejnym przeciętnym produktem, co trochę dziwi, bo po obejrzeniu filmu gracze na pewno chcieliby przeżyć równie niesamowitą przygodę na ekranie monitora. Z drugiej zaś strony gra Shrek 2 jest o wiele bardziej skierowana do dzieci, aniżeli film i uważam, że ta młodsza część będzie bardzo zadowolona z tego co znajduje się na jednej płycie CD. Dla starszych wyjadaczy jest to jednak czterogodzinny, dosyć monotonny proces wciskania klawiszy, który nie prowadzi do pełnej satysfakcji. Brawa jednak raz jeszcze za świetną lokalizację no i cóż, jeśli macie już pociechy na swoim koncie to śmiało możecie zrobić im prezent w postaci tej gry.

Ich liebe Shrek. Im Film. Im Spiel verliert er zumindest für Erwachsene deutlich an Witz. Schade, denn die gelungene Xbox-Version beweist, dass man aus der Vorlage mehr herausholen kann. So bleibt am PC nur ein leicht überdurchschnittliches Hüpfspiel, das allein durch seine sympathischen Charaktere seine Daseinsberechtigung erhält. Und unter uns: Roy, die Speicherfee, müssen Sie gesehen haben!

Podsumowując, jest to produkt tylko dla zagorzałych fanów Shreka lub naprawdę młodych i/lub niedoświadczonych graczy. Jeśli spełniasz wszystkie trzy punkty, możesz nawet dodać do oceny kilkanaście procent. Dla reszty jednak „Shrek 2: The Game” pozostanie zwykłym platformerem, „jadącym” na popularności filmu, prostym jak ośli ogon, strasznie krótkim i z kwadratową grafiką. Szkoda, bo wersja konsolowa jest o wiele ciekawsza – będzie mnie naprawdę długo trapić, czemu wersja PC była taka „specjalna”.

Het is jammer dat er niet meer aandacht is besteed aan het ontwikkelen van de game. Is de film goed voor jong en oud, de game is duidelijk ontworpen voor het jongere publiek. Daarnaast is het onbegrijpelijk dat de game op grafisch gebied niet eens kan tippen aan de film. De humor en voice-acting maken het een beetje goed, maar dat allen kan de game niet dragen. Na een uurtje of drie spelen kan de game weer terug in de kast, want Shrek 2 heeft geen enkele vorm van replay, tenzij je verzot bent op herhalingen.

And that's exactly what this game does, it fills a niche. Obviously aimed at kids or adults who don't feel like mastering one of the increasingly complex games that fill the market today, it's a simple and fun experience that would provide hours of excitement for a kid and a fun diversion for an adult. Who hasn't wanted to be a giant Muffin Man and sweep away armies while tearing down castle walls? The pity is that with a touch more thought the game could have been tweaked to be a shining example of what a platformer should be about. Instead, it's a competent example of the genre.

Podsumowując, Shrek 2 nie jest ani wybitny, ani ambitny, aczkolwiek nie jest również totalnym gniotem, więc z czystym sumieniem wystawiam mu piątkę (choć bynajmniej nie w skali szkolnej) z adnotacją: „UWAGA! Produkt przeciętny! Używasz na własną odpowiedzialność! Ale pamiętaj: występuje tu Shrek, bożyszcze nastolatek! Więc jeśli go lubisz, gra może Ci się spodobać!”.

What makes the Shrek movies fun for the family is the inclusion of something for everyone--there's plenty of slapstick and scatological humor for the kids as well as some sly pop culture references for the older folks. But Shrek 2 for the PC is strictly for kids, though considering its clunky controls and short running time, it's not even a terribly good game for them.

Having played through Shrek 2 on the consoles, I'm really surprised by the quality presented in the PC title. Shrek 2 lacks anything that could be called substance or fun. Between collision glitches that continually prevent you from making jumps, a horrible camera, boring and repetitive gameplay, and shoddy production values, Shrek 2 can't be recommended to anyone. Frustration caused by the controls and camera will plague children, and adults will be bored by Shrek 2's simplicity. It isn't even intentionally funny.

Soyons direct, Shrek 2 ne vaut vraiment pas le coup sur PC. Très peu jouable et plutôt repoussant graphiquement, le titre manque aussi d'originalité. Même si l'humour est bien présent, mieux vaut faire l'impasse.

Après avoir fait un carton amplement mérité en salle, l’irrévérencieux Shrek débarque sur nos PCs en jeux vidéo. Condamné à un succès prévisible, ce titre laisse à l’heure du test s’installer une certaine appréhension trop habitués que nous sommes à voir de délicieux instants de cinéma se prolonger en interminables séances de tortures vidéo ludiques. Nous avions peur en lançant une partie et vous savez quoi ? Nous avions bien raison.

L'humour et la sympathie qu'on accord aux personnages du film sauvent le jeu du désastre intégral. La réalisation est sommaire, les ennemis sont lents et stupides et rien d'autre ne vient relever le niveau. Les plus petits seront sûrement d'autant plus frustrés que les passages un peu plus plate-forme sont rares et souvent mal faits.
