Description
Civilization III is the 3rd in a long series of turn based strategy games. Like the 2 previous games you have a wide variety of options in Civilization 3. You can start out on a custom made map, historical map or even choose between different system generated maps. You have several nations to choose from such as America, England, Germany, India, Russia, and so on. And again there are even more options on HOW you play Civ III. Some players are militaristic, some choose negotiation to win. Still others take a scientific approach. Which will you take? Will you be a nice guy or the next Alexander the Great? The choice (thank you Sid Meyer) is up to you.
(Game play) Basically this is a top down strategy game where you move game pieces onto game squares. You need to build cities, develop new technologies and generally stay alive long enough to master the world!
In the Limited Edition, you receive a tin Civ box, a letter from Sid Meier, and a movie cd that shows the making of Civ III.
The EU version came out in a big carton box (very similar to the collector's of Sid Meier's Pirates), under a different title and with different extras inside: Civ 3 Survival Kit (Tech Tree, Collector's Manual and Quick guide), Get Civilized T-Shirt, Collector's poster and a Collector's postcard.
There was also a bonus cd with some exclusive extras by the Firaxis team: Making-of movie, screen saver, 40 wallpapers plus two exclusive ones, a movie celebrating Meier's introduction to the IDSA Hall of Fame and 53 in-game pics.
