Description

In this multiple-choice game, players flesh out the spangled tights of a pro wrestler. From humble NCAA college beginnings, the player makes the decisions that will take this meaty athlete from community halls to pay-per-view exclusive matches. Choices made out of the ring set the tone for the epic storyline of betrayal and redemption that follows, with the player's gender, sexual orientation and choice of manager and relationship partner guiding the narrative as much as whether to be a babyface or a heel, when to attempt to perform a flying elbow drop and whether to hit their opponent with a two-by-four or steel folding chair. Does the player choose to be true to themself or play up the fictitious kayfabe mystique? Will they pursue revenge and payback against their nemesis, JJ Delgado, or chase as much glory as one can achieve while hidden behind a mask? The most compelling decision -- whether to lose the scripted matches which are supposed to be lost -- is at the player's discretion. But whichever way the player picks, there are consequences.

In and out of the ring, on reality TV, radio interviews and on social media, backstage and in the locker room, a player will sculpt and direct their wrestler's trajectory through training, tag-team bouts, title championship matches and novelty extreme conflicts like cage matches and a ladder-and-scaffold match. All this against a rich tableau of true-to-life wrestlers of various divisions with fleshed-out family backgrounds, shticks, and fighting styles, as well as the requisite intrigue from management and hints of heartbreak and doping scandal.

With its mild RPG system grinding away in the background, every player will have unique strengths and weaknesses informing winning strategies particular to every unscripted bout. As is typical to Choice of Games' presentation, all game output is presented as text passages, ending in options for the player to pick from.
