"Sly 2" é criativo, divertido e extremamente estiloso. Quem acredita que uma boa jogabilidade deve estar casada com uma apresentação de qualidade não tem motivo para não jogar esse game.
The jump between Sly 2 and the original feels like the jump Naughty Dog tried to make when going from Jak and Daxter to Jak 2, only with a little more success. The number of improvements in Sly 2 are staggering and give the game a fresh new face, without killing the elements that made Sly Cooper so much fun to play. If you enjoyed the original, there’s no reason you wouldn’t like this one. If you’re one of the people who never gave Sly Cooper a chance, you might want to give this one a look -- you’ll thank me later.
This time around, members of the evil Klaww gang have salvaged the pieces of Sly’s immortal nemesis, the metal nightmare Clockwerk, and put them to use in nefarious schemes. Sly, fearful that Clockwerk might one day be reassembled if left in wicked hands, goes after the gangsters with the help of his friends, Bentley and Murray. Of course, Carmelita and her new partner Neyla chase you endlessly and offer occasional help. Toss in a few shocking twists and tragedies and you wind up with another strong Sly story.
Sly 2 is the most stylish platform game of Sony’s big three and Sucker Punch Productions deserves a lot of credit for putting together an impeccable presentation. Although Jak 3 features a huge world overworld and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal includes online play, Sly Cooper continually impresses me more with its classic gameplay elements come to life in a classy fashion. For this reason, I’m all for seeing the Cooper gang to slip in for another Sly sequel.
If you like platformers then you will love this. Sly 2: Band of Thieves has everything that you would expect from the genre and a little bit more. It’s colourful, amusing and very well put together. If you find this stuffed in your stocking this Christmas then you must have been very good indeed.
Overall, Sly 2: Band of Thieves is one of the more stylish and original titles of 2004 and is surely a no-brainer when it comes to deciding a gift for the PS2 gamer in your life. An Editor's Choice product to be sure.
Sly 2: Band of Thieves is a great pickup for $39.99. Don't let this game slide on by with the avalanche of games coming out. It deserves to sit in the upper echelon of the platform games out there.

Clever, enjoyable, and just plain beautiful, Sly 2 is an enjoyable interactive cartoon for gamers of all ages.
Sony Computer Entertainment America is bringing a trio of extremely good-looking platformers this fall season. Jak 3 and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal will be hitting the streets with some serious weaponry in November, but for now some intense attention needs to be focused on Sly 2: Band of Thieves. It's been a couple of years since the Editor's Choice with the namus bizarrus of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus and a whole lot has changed in this cel-shaded world. The gameplay has grown up and Sly 2 become one hell of an adventure that is recommended for anyone who wants some action with plenty of humor along the way.
Sly Cooper is up to his old thieving ways in the next edition of the franchise – Sly 2: Band of Thieves, a title for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony and Sucker Punch. Sporting a huge, free-roaming environment, terrific graphics and shaded with a hint of intriguing storyline, this is a title that should have Sly fans, as well as those interested in adventure gaming with a light touch in plot and some nice challenges, chomping at the bit.

Sucker Punch put more emphasis on storyline and teamwork in Sly 2. You will have to curtail bosses by finding their weakness (as in any platformer), keep a low-profile in the levels as warning the guards is always a negative, and then of course, mastering each characters' strengths, and minimizing their weaknesses. Sucker Punch struck a chord with Sly 2, one that will go down as one of the best platform titles of 2004. Both style and substance prevailed at the end of the day.
The story isn't groundbreaking, but when told so well with such fine attention to detail, so much humor, and such pretty visuals combined with amazing voice work that comes together so well all in one great fluid package, one can't help but fall in love. And there are ducks, which should make Sly 2 a classic in anyone's book. I went through the game without noticing a single technical fault with the exception of the camera getting stuck in random places, but simply moving the joystick a little cured that. Sly Cooper 2: Band of Thieves is put together with such great detail and fluidity that it would be a crime to not at least give it a try, whether you're new to the series or back for the second time.
This is exactly how a sequel should be done, and if there's anything wrong with it, it's only that it makes you wonder how Sucker Punch can possibly make as big a leap with the next game as they did with Sly 2. Get this one any way you can... short of emulating Sly, we mean.
If you enjoyed Sly Cooper's tongue-in-cheek thievery the first time around, Sly 2 will feel like your favorite pair of fuzzy, cozy sneakers.
One of the best games of 2002 finally has a sequel, and it's a heck of an encore.
This ain't kid's stuff. It may look it, with its cartoony visuals, lovable ruffian lead and standard adventure-platform shenanigans, but Sly 2 is far more sophisticated than the stereotype it appears to perpetrate. Sucker Punch know exactly what they are trying to achieve, a platformer that uses comic-book styling to attract all ages, and they land a overwhelming combination of scoring hits. The humour is suitably broad, the characters are genuinely appealing, the level variation is sublime and the gameplay drifts with supreme skill between its comic-book premise and its 'thief-in-the-shadows' mechanics.

While Jak and Ratchet are Sony’s commercial stars, the company’s lesser known mascot, Sly Cooper, has proven to be one of this generation’s most endearing cuddly console heroes. Now, the Cooper gang is back for more in a finely crafted sequel that nearly achieves immortality.

That said, Sly 2 is definitely a good game that I would recommend to platform fans, but it could be better, as the platforming elements don't quite live up to the original.
The varied gameplay, well-constructed story, and excellent graphics, sound, and music all come together to form an experience that most anybody would enjoy.
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus was a surprise hit of 2002. The game followed the misadventures of Sly Cooper, a raccoon with a penchant for petty larceny. However, the biggest complaint was that the game was much too short. It took two years for Sucker Punch to deliver the sequel Sly 2: Band of Thieves, as platforming fans sat on the edges of their seats waiting to compare the sequel to its predecessor.
Although it's fair to say there's nothing revolutionary about Sly 2, what it does do is so well honed that if you've not played a platformer for a while, jumping back in with a game like this will restore your faith in the genre. And if you're a long term fan of top notch platformers then you're in for an excellent 20-odd hours of slick entertainment. The odd bit of repetition aside, there's enough stand out moments to make it impossible not to recommend. Sly 2 will make you smile your face off, and you can't ask for much more than that from a sequel that's far bigger and just as entertaining as the original, and still leaves you wanting more.
