Douze persos, des tonnes de coups spéciaux, des enchaînements intéressants, des graphismes réussis... Que demander de plus?

Lacking any freaky new hook or a different approach to the action, Fatal Fury Special is yesterday's news.

It's a step down, but the SNES version of one of the Neo Geo's best fighting series isn't a bad fighter at all. The graphics are the best on any platform outside it's original format and the control is decent. Words of warning; if you don't have a joystick controller, you are going to have a very difficult time executing the fatal moves. The only other gripe I have is that the sounds are a bit annoying, especially with the surround sound. You have to resort to a monaural setting.

Perhaps the biggest problem with Fatal Fury Special is that the game took so long to come out. Newer, more sophisticated fighters are already on their way, overshadowing anything Special about this game. Only Fury fans will want to won this brawler - just for Special sentimental reasons.
