Summary

a game that just had a name attached to it

The Good

It basically gets you into what an RPG is about, no more no less. The music was ok for a low budget game with very little memory. Graphics were ok, but they were not eye-popping good.

The Bad

Its boring, you pretty much know where your enemies are, they dont move, and it is not perfectly random. The battle program was too obvious, you basically got double the damage for a critical hit of if the monster was weak in a certain area. It shows that Hironobu Sakaguchi, and most other key Square members were not any part of the game.

The Bottom Line

It isnt worth your time unless you are new to playing an RPG. Too easy for an experienced RPG player. This game is the one that made Square actually stop putting the "name" Final Fantasy on pretty much everything it sold once the original game became a hit.
