Final Fight 2 is a combat game as good as a combat game gets: It's not as tedious as the first adventure, and it has huge characters, a lot of personality, new moves, and a two-player option missing from the original. Let's just hope that part 2 isn't the final Final Fight!

Jubel!

Divertido. Bem medido e capaz. Pra ser jogado mais de uma vez.

Final Fight 2 is a fighter to be reckoned with, but it's not a knockout. You'll want to take it on for the thrills of two player Final Fighting, but the gameplay's predictable, the music's weak and the enemies are bums. This isn't the fight to end all fights and we hope the next Final Fight installment is better...finally.

Just ignore the flaws and have a good time. It's what Final Fight is all about.

Quite honestly, I think anyone who'd just spent £69.99 on Final Fight 2 would feel pretty hard done by. There are plenty of good things about the game. (It's still getting a pretty high mark after all.) There's plenty of video game mythology in there to discover - the Street Fighter II characters standing around in the background, for example, or the little Super Deformed Guy (out of Final Fight Guy) you pick up for an extra life. And the bosses are imaginative - I was particularly taken by the one who zooms around the screen leaving shadows behind him, although he's a git to kill. And the graphics are, as I said, great. But it simply isn't the game we'd hoped for. It's just another scrolling beat-'em up.

Capcom’s Final Fight is as much the definitive brawler as Sega’s Streets of Rage. Also, while it may not have the same style or gusto inherent to ‘Streets, you can be sure you’ll have an ass-whoopin’ good time along the way. If you’ve got a Super Nintendo, 8-15 bucks is a small price to pay for hours of mindless, virtual brutality.

Biggest disappointment ever? An absolute waste of good plastic.

Never in my life have I seen such a boring, uninspired collection of stages. Each takes place in a different area of the world, so you'd expect them to see some exotic scenery, right? But no, you find yourself in an airport in Hong Kong, a construction site in France, a sewer in Germany, and a train depot in England! Ugh! And then there's the difficulty level, which is absolutely pathetic. The first Final Fight was easy enough, but this one is a complete cakewalk, constantly awarding you with new lives and piling on six continues! Far too easy and repetitive, you'll probably switch off Final Fight 2 long before you've gone exhausted your lives.
