Game Players
Plenty of options make this one enjoyable for stat-minded rotisserie players and recreational sports fans alike. More than 650 major league players and authentic ballparks add to the realism.

Video Games & Computer Entertainment
A great-playing baseball game in the Hardball tradition, featuring superb graphics, control and a host of options. The addition of the MLBPA license is a big plus, but the elimination of the battery backup and play-by-play commentary found in the Genesis version is a major disappointment.

GamePro
Although Hardball III has a good combination of options, stats, atmosphere and sounds, you can't help but feel disappointed by the graphics. The choppy players will frustrate you if you've played smooth, graphically superior baseball games like World Series Baseball and RBI Baseball '94.

Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM)
Another entry in the video game baseball arena. For sports fans, this one has all the right ingredients: two-player action, lots of teams to choose from, etc. The control takes a bit to get used to, but overall a very good game.
