It was a long time coming, but definitely worth the wait. Here's a near-perfect cart with classic gameplay, excellent graphics and sound and tons of hidden items and power-ups. Wow!

They don't really make games like this anymore. After playing through Mega Man X, you'll see what a shame that really is.

Very enjoyable, one of the best action games on any system at the time. Fantastic control and excellent graphics. Great soundtrack but possibly too easy. A game that should be checked out.

But very briefly, Mega Man X had a really, really great future ahead of him with his first game, and, to me, he'll always be the spirited android dashing across a crumbling highway, climbing a tower that is supposed to resemble Elec Man's stage from the first Mega Man, hotfooting it through a fire factory meant to resemble Fire Man's stage from the first Mega Man—hell, this game could've rewritten history for a gaming franchise that was already kicking ass.

Megaman X in particular, seems almost like it was meant to be an arcade game, not a console title, with it's short bursts of limited challenge and unsophisticated level design. And the few bits that are genuinely tricky end up being just cheaply frustrating. So, nice try, but no cigar. On the other hand, it's still Megaman, and there are always a few who can't get enough of that (for some sinister reason; it's probably the silly mechas). The more reasonable among us will find that this is enjoyable enough, nicely presented, but in the end, not all that special.

Det är mycket underhållande och småputtrigt och det finns många sämre spel (många bättre också. Du kan köpa Super Metroid till samma pris).

After a successful stint on the NES, the little blue guy brings his brand of side-scrolling shooting mayhem to the SNES. Mage Man X seems awfully generic at first, but gradually picks up steam as you defeat bosses and add their weapons to your arsenel. Upon completing the first stage, you can then select between nine more, each offering its own distinct theme (forest, mine, ice, factory, etc). Mega Man can climb walls, but can only shoot forward and can't duck. The gameplay is basically blast or be blasted, and the graphics are functional but far from spectacular. Mega Man X does have a few thrilling moments however, like when you ride a mine cart or commandeer a robot. Unfortunately, the game suffers from some serious slow-down, usually during the most dramatic moments. The music is very good, and a password feature allows you to save your progress. I liked Mega Man X, but it's pretty much by the numbers.
