All right! A unique game! Konami took a tired game and woke it up...big time! Even if you've played it before, get this one. Prince of Persia mixes great animation with superb gameplay and incredible music. After playing this one, I hope they make a sequel.
Prince of Persia takes the standard platform beat-'em-up and gives it a hard twist. It's a visual delight packed with action, chivalry, and lots of rampant snogging!

Prince Of Persia has been excellent in all its versions, but this is the best yet. All the levels have been redesigned (for the better), and a further eight brand new ones added, making 20 in all. Graphics are the most obvious improvement - they're completely new and, despite a few simplistic backdrops, prove very atmospheric. The one thing that hasn't changed is the slightly old-fashioned, flick- screen scrolling, but don't be put off by it - this is one game where it actually works well, in many ways heightening the tension, as you're never quite sure what lies on the next screen. Sound is of a similar quality too, though the impressive Arabian scores rather put to shame the simplistic sound effects. Best of all though, gameplay just oozes out of the game: it's a winning combination of puzzles, sword-fighting and platform-style action which all produce a hugely enjoyable game. Prince Of Persia on the SNES comes recommended even to players of the original computer game.
