Spectre

Don't be put off by its basic looks and gameplay, this is a challenging game and a decent laugh if you've a mate to play against. Shame there's no four-player link-up.

It might look rather basic from the screen shots, but your'e missing the true beauty of the thing. A massively playable blast-fest, with more than a hint of that classic Battlezone style.

Spectre is a strong simulation that increases your stress levels by leaps and bounds. When a shot comes at you, you'll find yourself moving to get out of the way. While the game has a few flaws, they barely affect your enjoyment. Spectre is one wild ride!

Spectre är ett spel som vid första anblicken verkar vara ohyggligt tråkigt, men det är det inte. Det är faktiskt ganska underhållande, främst om man spelare två stycken samtidigt mot två datortanks.

This is a great rental game, especially if you've played Spectre on your Macintosh or PC before; it really screams on the Super NES. As far as shooter/simulator games go...well, there are better ones out there. It's cool that your spacecraft moves over a curved surface - and the two-player combat can be a lot of fun - but that's about the most interesting stuff in the game.

This is like the old arcade classic Battlezone. Using a first person perspective, you zip around and fire at targets. One major problem is you can take several hits before even getting the enemy in your sights.
