You want Street Fighter action without Street Fighter II? Here's a serious SF II clone that can bring Street snobs as well as fledgling fighters out of their shell.

Who said Turtles are old hat? The half-shelled ones deserve respect for being hottest contenders for Game Of The Year 1994!

The Turtles are all grown up - but still looking for a good brawl. The SNES version gives you ten fighters to the Genesis' eight, and its graphics are much better, too. There's one clear winner even before the fighting starts.

You can play any of those four lovable Turtles, or choose between any of six other characters, including the mighty Shredder. The rest of them we've never heard of, and with names like Chrome Dome and Wing Nut, they must be spur-of-the-moment inventions. That's 10 characters and 10 locations to fight in. Brilliant. Well, brilliant in two senses because, although it's completely great and everything, about half of the backgrounds are just far too bright and intrusive. Imagine the obtrusiveness of the Vegas stage of SFII but worse; that's how clogged the screen gets. It's a small price to pay for such a great game. Tournament Fighters more than makes up for it by being really fast, having some superb moves and generally 'feeling right' when you're playing it. The weight and inertia/momentum of the characters is almost perfect.
