Description
Soldat is a side-view action game with simple controls. Almost kind of a live-action
Worms game with different gameplay, Soldat stands out in it's simplicity and mayhem. There are single player modes for quick battles, however the game's real strength is in multiplayer play. The game begins as soon as you press the start button. Your character, spawning at a starting location can choose 1 of 10 weapons to use and once done so... can move around the screen left, right, down (crouch) and up (jet boots). Using the mouse to aim your weapons, your goal is to kill the other players and attain the highest score. Some weapons aim properly with a continuous stream of fire (machine guns, miniguns), some weapons are very affected by gravity, some weapons are full of power in one shot (sniper rifle, shotgun) and are slow to reload, some weapons load fast but don't contain much power in each individual shot. Each player also has a jetpack to aid in jumping, falling and firing from the air. Medical kits and special ammo boxes spawn around each level while you work to destroy your opponents. Successful completion of a level is based on kill count within a specified time limit.
