The Encyclopedia Frobizzica allows you to read about many things... including the Zork series and your former nemesis.
The game has a clever copy protection mechanism - you cannot go any further without opening the chest. The combination to open it can only be found on the Infotater (included in the game package).
Trying the reach the game's author results in your (comical) death. That "real world" place is quite inhospitable!
Even a wizard has to get his hands dirty sometimes.
