Space Job includes a separate recruitment mini-game where you explore a typical Karstadt department store and end up in the personnel office. Prospective employees are invited to contact Karstadt and apply for a job.

The retail version of Space Job suffers from several major gameplay bugs, among them the permanent loss of your spaceship and corrupt night school diplomas. You can avoid the first one by never having your spaceship repaired.

Big business marketing companies sure know how to play their connections. Space Job features more or less obvious product placement by Coca Cola, Fuji, Casio, Mustek, FactorX and QT. The six companies appear in-game and on the back of the box. The advertising tie-ins may have been one reason for the game's moderate price.
