The game has just started and I already hit one of the roadmarks

This screen displays as the game loads.
Just before the game is ready to play it turns into a monochrome black and yellow picture
The game starts with the player driving up to the start line. A 3 - 2 - 1 - countdown starts the race
Using the Sinclair Joystick, forward takes the player higher, down goes lower, the FIRE key accelerates and the space bar fires. Going higher also seems to mean going slower

Just hit a mine of some kind. No damage though just a sooty cloud
It is possible to go so high the racer is off the screen
A computer controlled racer tries to overtake and crashes into a sign
A change of scenery
After a crash, in this case into a pylon, the racer restarts from the same point and gives a cheery one or two fingered to the scenery
I think this is the end of the race.
The racer stopped. All the energy lights are flashing randomly, and a computer controlled racer just flew by and crashed.
If left alone for long enough the game goes into a demo mode which shows lots of riders happily competing together - not a shot being fired
