    StateShift coming to Europe

    Engine Software signs EU publishing deal for StateShift™ with Midas Interactive Ltd.

    Doetinchem, January 30th 2007 - Engine Software, developer based in the Netherlands, today announces that it has signed a publishing deal with British publisher Midas Interactive Ltd. regarding the release of its PSP™ title “StateShift™” in European territories.

    StateShift™ – an original sci-fi racing title for PSP™ – has been in development at Engine Software, and is in the final stages of production as we speak. The game, set in a not too distant future, focusses on illegal racing competitions around the future Earth where economical instability, and depletion of resources has led to a series of bloody conflicts. StateShift™ boasts various single player modes including an expansive Career Mode, and adrenalin pumping ad-Hoc multiplayer mode.

    Ivo Wubbels, CEO at Engine Software said: “The development of StateShift has been highly productive and a great experience for the team and myself here at Engine Software. Now we are close to completion, I am personally very happy to announce the partnership with Midas Interactive Ltd and anticipate a hugely successful release of StateShift into the European market.“

    Engine Software and Midas Interactive will will be releasing further information, including news and media, in the next few weeks. A release date and price point have not yet been confirmed, but the game is in it’s final stages, so watch this space! Engine Software will also be looking to establish further partnerships in the North American and Asian markets over the coming months.

    Special abilities
    Apart from the deadly arsenal players have to their disposal, special powers can be unlocked by picking up energy cells. State morphing is an energy based power up system with which the player can – in real-time – change the handling of his car. By using the various State morph abilities, the player can get better average speed, supreme cornering, ram other players to oblivion, evade weapons fire, drive through obstacles, and by combining all of these: reign the competition.
