The first Street Fighter game to use 3D character models, but it's still the classic 2D fighting (with a few zoom in cameras for special attacks).

There are 23 fighters to choose from, including all the familiar faces, and some new ones (including Cycloid Beta and Cycloid Gamma, who are two wire framed characters with moves similar to the other fighters).

There are some new moves thrown in, but all are in the same mold as the past Street Fighter games.

Street Fighter EX Plus α PlayStation Demonstration Mode match – Pullum uses his Praec Larm Super Combo to connect lots of hits in Ken.
Street Fighter EX Plus α PlayStation Post-match replay frame – Ryu beats Skullomania using his multiple-hit move Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku.
Street Fighter EX Plus α PlayStation The victim is Hokuto again, and this time, she is damaged by Garuda's Super Combo move Kienshou.
Street Fighter EX Plus α PlayStation Garuda attacks with his anti-air move Kizan and Guile tries to stop his offensive with a Sonic Boom.
