Breakneck speeds, beautiful graphics, cool music, smooth voices, and superb control are the characteristics of STUN Runner. Had it been released on the other consoles, I'm sure that the Lynx version would have blown them away regardless. So, if you're looking to play STUN Runner at home, this is the only game in town. (Not to mention, the best!)

LynxDefunct Games
The game is extremely repetitive, but it's well worth playing. One of the best racing games on a portable ... even if it's not a portable, per se. If you can find it, pick S.T.U.N. Runner up, it's well worth your money.

LynxAll Game Guide
All in all, STUN Runner looks good, runs fast, and is the best futuristic racing game on the Lynx. If you enjoyed the sci-fi thrills of the Wipeout series, you can't go wrong with a blast through STUN Runner's tunnels.

LynxDigital Press - Classic Video Games
The challenge is well-paced, as the gamer can select level 1, 6, or 12 right from the start. Three continues allow you to re-start a course you couldn't finish. Take note, however, that everything always happens in the same sequence, making memorization an important part of mastery. S.T.U.N. Runner is in my opinion the best game for the Lynx since Blue Lightning, and that's saying a lot.

Wer den Automaten mochte, darf zugreifen. Es gibt keine bessere Heimversion. Allzu intelligent ist das Spielprinzip allerdings nicht. Lobenswert: die Sprachausgabe.

You've done some Hard Drivin', but have you tried 900mph speed racing in the 21st century's Spread Tunnel Underground Network Runner? Taking on all contenders and the tightest of time limits you race through the 24 tunnel networks, the twists and turns getting wilder and crazier with each new level. The Runner is initially unarmed but progression sees wing pods added and lasers for disposing of annoying drones and mag cycles that can slow you down. Avoid the armoured drones though; they're indestructible.

AmigaACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment)
Even the Amiga isn't capable of performing well under so much polygon-pressure. And while all of the coin-op elements have been included, the game's appeal has been sapped by the snail-like graphics. It does offer a few minutes of entertainment as you work out your optimum route for each stage, but from then on, it goes downhill rapidly. The Audio is okay, with decent speech offering encouragement along the way. But on the whole, S.T.U.N. Runner is a disappointing release.

The music isn't entirely crap. Hopelessly slow, graphically primitive, terminal lack of excitement. We'd rather see a great conversion of Galaxians than someone make a pig's ear of a game they knew they couldn't convert in the first place.

A clever hardware trick makes the Lynx port better than most computer ports. An amazing technology demo and a great game. Lynx Trixter Bronze Star Contributing Member (8865)
