Surface Tension

You might pick up the box and think, "Ehh, just another quasi-sim action game, I'll pass." That was my first impression of Surface Tension as well, but as I got further into the game I was surprised to find some fairly decent gameplay. Were it not for the sub-standard graphics the game might even be called good, but as is gets only a fair.

Successful action games win with simple controls and well-designed gameplay. Quake and Duke Nukem 3d show how good design and easy controls work. Surface Tension�s controls remind me of a flight simulation with complexity. If you must have Surface Tension, I suggest waiting. Look for Surface Tension to sell at low prices in bargain bins at the computer superstores. Surface Tension will not fly with the gaming public.

Konkurrensen är mördande i denna action-flyg-äventyrs genre och Surface Tension är inget man tillbringar nätterna med om man inte råkar vara ovanligt uttråkad.

Beinahe alles, was Surface Tension vorgibt zu bieten, hat man irgendwo anders schon mal erheblich besser gesehen. Das fängt an mit der dilettantischen Lokalisierung, setzt sich in den miserablen FMV-Sequenzen und dem mehr als biederen Allerweltssoundtrack fort und stört am meisten bei der altbackenen Ingame-Grafik. Dieses mittelprächtige Spiel macht schlichtweg keinen Spaß!
