Description

Swap The Box is a puzzle game about clearing a screen of boxes in a small, set amount of turns by swapping a box' position in the stack. When three boxes of the same type are lined up horizontally or vertically, they form a match and disappear, causing chain reactions as the other boxes drop down and form new matches. It is not clear if the game is related to the slightly later released browser game Swap The Box, which is similar and uses the same art assets, but has a different mission structure and is said to be exclusive to Acool Games. None of the other GameVille games have a link with Acool Games.

There are 96 levels unlocked gradually based around four themes: Docks, Train, Jungle and City. Each level consists of a stack of different boxes that needs to be cleared usually with only one or two turns. Usually that means there is only one solution. Swapping a box is done by swiping. If you swipe from a height to an empty area, the box drops down. There is an unlimited amount of tries per level. Additional buttons are used to reload the level or to undo turns.

For iOS and Android there is a free version with large ads and videos that cover the entire screen. Android also has a commercial version that removes all ads.
