Back of Box - NES (US):

You May Have Shredder Double-Teamed, But He Still Has You Outnumbered!

Yo! After being treated like garbage by the Ninja Turtles, Shredder has trained a new, more merciless breed of Fool Soldiers to inflict his revenge. A clan of over 700 Taekwondo turtle terminators who have once again captured April 0'Neil to use as turtle bait.
Fortunately you don't have to face these freaks of torture alone. For the first time ever, two dudes or dudettes can join forces and double-team Shredder, kicking shell while covering each others tails.
But to survive you've gotta fight through eight action packed arcade levels, including Vinnie's Valet "Stalking" Lot and the Soho Sewer System, plus two new never before seen shell squashing stages. Each of these deathtraps is reinforced by lethal electro zappers, laserbeams, freezer burners (you know how reptiles hate the cold!) or enemies such as Scorpion Robots, Stone Warriors and Baxter Stockman. Shredder has also hired the all-powerful Tora and Shogun, two alien bounty hunters who have never known defeat.
Even though Master Splinter has prepared the turtles well for battle, teaching them radical new attack moves, it doesn't mean this war to save April and turtlekind will be a piece of cake or even a slice of pizza. Because with the forces of revenge on his side and the bounty boys in town, it's payback time for Shredder!

Strong new enemies like Tora the Polar Bear will frost your shell.

Radical new attack moves really punch up the arcade-style graphics.

In the never before seen Ninja Castle, you'd be wise to choose a partner before you pick a fight.

Only this time it's no accident. As Ultra(r) transforms your favorite arcade game into a hard hitting new adventure for the Nintendo Entertainment System(r).

With eight original arcade levels, plus two never before seen shell squashing stages and a ton of new enemies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(r) II -- The Arcade Game(tm) is unlike any sewer war the turtles have ever fought in.

Fortunately two can play at this game, double teaming Shredder's 700 Foot Soldiers who will fight you every step of the way -- from the Central Park Snow Route to the stone cold Rock 'N Roll Quarry.

Of course to crush invincible enemies like Tora and Shogun, you must master radical new attack moves which Splinter has programmed into the game.

So grab the adventure that's hotter than a radioactive meltdown. But be warned. You might turn green, grow a shell and suddenly start craving jumbo pizzas with extra pepperonis.
