DescriptionTiny Token Empires is a combination of round-based tactic and match-3 game. The player takes control of one of five possible empires (Rome, Greek, Egypt, Persia, Carthage) and tries to conquer the region of the Mediterranean Sea.
During the tactic rounds the game took place on the overview map, where the empires create / expand cities, recruit additional troops (max. five per army), move the armies and explore as well as conquer new territories. Most of the unoccupied territories belong to a barbarian tribe, which has to be defeated to conquer the territory. In other territories there are treasures hidden, which can be opened within a mini-game. The treasures contain gold but also artifacts, which can be equipped by the main hero of the empire but also by the army generals. Another source of artifacts is to fight against monsters of mythology like the Minotaur, which have own territories. But beware, these monsters are difficult enemies.
All battles (land and naval) and mini-games are realised as match-3-games. Each kind of troop and monster ability has it's own colour (e.g. red symbols are for close combat infantry), matching gems of that colour will charge the attack bar of the units (if you have two close combat infantry units in your army both will be charged), if the bar is full the unit can attack. Build defense installations in a city will affect the battle.
The game offers five campaigns (one for each empire) with four scenarios as well as a scenario generator. The scenario generator is used for single player games and multiplayer matches.
