Touché: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer

Touché är i klass med de riktigt stora äventyrsspelen, som The Dig elle Simon the Sorcerer.

Voor liefhebbers van het genre ´Monkey Island´ is Touché een absolute aanrader. Ook andere adventure spelers zullen veel plezier beleven aan de fratsen en grollen van Geoffroi: de humor werkt aanstekelijk en het spel is zeer uitgebreid...

Aside from the seemingly similar character (wannabe), it would be wrong to say ‘Touché’ is a clone of Monkey Island. The humor and overall game is too different to say that. Often the game will feel more like an RPG than an adventure game. Overall, I suggest you give this game a try since it is a seriously underappreciated game... just disregard the reoccurring graphics and slow plot and I think you will like it!

This game slipped past us when it was first released and I don't remember it being available in any of our local software shops. It certainly didn't seem to get much publicity, which is a shame because it is an enjoyable adventure game in the style of the much loved Monkey Island.

With "Touchè - The Adventures of the 5th Musketeer" you'll play a traditional point&click adventure, which is filled with moderate puzzles and a large quantity of dialogues. I enjoyed the humor of Touché very much - from easy and cheerful to sarcastic and deep black no joke remains unused. Touchè offers cheerful and easy entertainment and can be played error free on 3 generations of PC's. The not interruptible dialogues and repeated lengthy travelling between the locations can be quite nerving and get not always balanced by joke and puzzle quality.

There is nothing flashy about this game. It's modest in length, scope, and ambition. It's not, however, modest in quality, and in its own quiet way it sneaks up on you what a good game it really is. It's got a terrific story worthy of Alexandre Dumas, and for fans of traditional third-person adventures, it's really worth looking for.

Endlich einmal wieder ein witziges Adventure, das komplex genug ist, den Spieler mehrere Wochen vor den PC zu fesseln. Die vielen Locations und die anspruchsvollen Rätsel werden zwar so manchen Abenteurer zur Verzweiflung bringen, gut angelegt ist das Geld aber auf jeden Fall. Wer die Wahl und gute Englischkenntnisse hat, sollte sich die englische Version zulegen, damit hat das Zwerchfell mehr zu tun.

Auch wenn die Genialitäts-Funken eher spärlich sprühen, ist Touché eine ordentliche Wahl, wenn Sie Grafik-Adventures klassischen Kalibers schätzen. Wer auf solche Schmunzelkost in "Monkey Island"-Tradition steht, hat bei "Simon the Sorcerer 2" allerdings mehr Spaß.

Touché bien se podía haber llamado "Monkey Island 3" por el parecido que hay con esta saga. Por esto mismo está recomendada a todos los que hayan disfrutado con esta serie, y a cualquier aventurero en general al que le gusten los juegos de humor, a pesar de no llegar a la altura de muchas otras producciones.
