This game is compulsive, addictive and fun to play. It's good to see software houses actually taking care over the C16 (take note Elite). The game is one of the best around and shows the world that the C16 can be as good as the Speccy or Amstrad if the right person is programming it. Thanks Gremlin.

[...] Trailblazer is absolutely amazing colourful and extremely fast scrolling. The only thing that comes remotely close is driving down the motorway on a pogo stick at a hundred miles an hour while they're repairing it. And I've only ever done that once.

I said Initially that this was a relatively simple concept but I think you can see that there is a lot on offer In this game. Programmer Shaun Southern of Mr Chip Software has done a masterly job for Gremlin, especially when you consider that It was originally written for the C16. It's not often that a game successfully makes this transition to the C64 but this is an exceptional game. Not for a long time have I been so hooked and several times I've been forced to drag myself away from writing this review just to check on a few finer points of the game, you understand.

On the whole though, this is a well thought out game that has all the little puzzles and annoying bits tuned so that they are just Infuriating enough to make you want to play the game again. Incredibly simple but marvellously addictive.

Everything about the game is nice. Excellent graphics, music and sound effects, addictive play. But at £24.95 I don't think the game offers enough to justify the price.

Trailblazer is highly addictive, and with 14 tracks to choose from, you won't get bored in a hurry. At £7.99, it's well priced, the graphics not being spectacular, while the scrolling is excellent

(Oldie review)

Was will man mehr?

It is impossible to recover from some mistakes whereas, on the original, it was usual possible to take any number of routes rather than just the one. Having said all that, Trailblazer is still a frustratingly addictive game, even if not quite as much as the original.
