Treasure Quest

I'd recommend it for anyone who likes puzzles, anyone who likes playing with words, anyone who is a little crazy, anyone who has a masochistic streak and anyone who is poor -- that $1,000,000 is quite enticing. But I can't help but wonder why I felt that the game failed to recognise that I just might be a female player. Perhaps because I didn't 'feel' the chemistry in the bedroom when Ms Farrell in her lacy negligee fluttered her eyelids and, she needn't have feared, my hands weren't for one moment tempted to leave the keyboard (mouse) and grope at the screen!

Overall TQ is a product that provokes extreme emotional responses; you'll either love this game to death ... or loathe it with a vengeance. If you're a gamer who enjoyed the scholastic endeavours of your youth then TQ is the game for you; I doubt you'll have experienced anything as dialectic as this in a long while. If you prefer your computer entertainment in a more conventional form (or couldn't understand the previous sentence), give TQ a miss... there are plenty of other titles out there better suited to your desired level of challenge.

Treasure Quest kræver en bred orientering og en engelsk sprogfortåelse langt over det almindelige. Hvis man virkelig vil komme nogen vegne med mysteriet, må man også have en solid viden om amerikanske forhold, både socialt, kulturelt og historisk.

Jag kan säkert komma på en miljon skäl att inte rekommendera dig att köpa Treasure Quest men det bästa skälet jag kan komma på är att detta inte är något underhållande spel - med eller utan en morot på en miljon dollar.

For a game to be fun, there needs be a reasonable mix of challenge and reward -- and aside from the minute chance of winning a million bucks, Treasure Quest doesn't offer enough of the latter. It might appeal to the most hardcore puzzle fans, but everyone else will be rewarded only with confusion and frustration.

Does the chance to win a million dollars by solving an adventure game get you excited? Sure it does. Does that mean Treasure Quest -- the game whose solution could you earn you that bread -- is fun to play? Definitely not.
