Rescue on Fractalus was named #82 overall among the “150 Best Games of All Time” by Computer Gaming World Magazine (15th Anniversary Issue--November 1996).

There were plans to port this game to the Atari 7800. A prototype was started but it was never completed or released.

As the name suggests, this game uses a fractal generator to render the mountains.

Rescue on Fractalus, along with Ball Blazer, were the first games launched by LucasFilm Games.
