In 1992, Air Zonk went on to win Electronic Gaming Monthly's award for TurboGrafx-16 Game Of The Year, despite the odds of only averaging a score of 7.25 (out of 10) from the four main critics. Guess the game definitely impressed the rest of the magazine's staff...

Just as Bonk was the mascot for the TurboGrafx-16, his successor of sorts Zonk eventually went on to become the mascot for the TurboDuo...The successor to the TurboGrafx.
