As my first RPG I certainly enjoyed this game. Making sure all the details are listed in this review is very difficult but I think it’s more than clear that I had fun and would suggest it to anyone, both die-hard as well as noob RPG players. I could go on for hours but the bottom point is this: a very good game and certainly a suggestion as go-between while waiting for the next Elder Scrolls!

Allerdings krankt Two Worlds doch an einigen Stellen sehr.

Even with the many amusing flaws that I encountered, including the birdlike motion your character does when jumping, the constant freeze frame when you encounter a new area, and the witty dry boasting your character does when vanquishing evil, there really is no reason to check out Two Worlds unless you are looking for the solid Oblivion filler. If you are, then Two Worlds is your next buy. There's a lot to Two Worlds that will take you an eternity to complete. This is probably the biggest draw to the game that I can mention. It is one of those games that you can put down, wait a while, come back to it, and rekindle the enjoyment you had the first time around. So race out, dive into the world of Two Worlds, and find out for yourself the mysteries of the Taint.

If you appreciate ambitious RPGs, seek out Two Worlds. It won't make you forget about Oblivion, but Reality Pump's take on heroic fantasy adventure is good enough to consume many, many hours of your spare time. Even though there are some flaws here, especially with the 360 version of the game, this is a solid role-playing experience.

This game is most definitely worth playing, with so much to do with up to 100 hours of gameplay and so much customization and freedom. There are very few problems and the ones that exist don't take too much away from the game. I would recommend this game to anyone with enough free time to play this game to its full potential.

Don't let the average score fool you into thinking this is a simple matter of mediocrity. This will be a polarizing game. There are people out there – especially the hardcore computer-RPG nuts that have been rocking Elder Scrolls since Arena – who are going to love it. These are people numb to a world of bugs and glitches who can enjoy deep role-playing at the expense of spit and polish. Other people are going to hate it. The game has some very real issues that you might not be willing to overlook. If anything, the modest length of the quest makes it a perfect rental for those on the fence, and the online mode might give it the staying power it needs for the cult of fans that will embrace it.

Two Worlds je hra protikladov.

Two Worlds is a game that has the right intentions and was headed in the right direction – it just had a few stumbling blocks en route. If you can get past some of those obstacles, you will find a very solid and entertaining RPG that will eat up a lot of hours.

While the first half-hour of Two Worlds doesn't make a great first impression, the experience gets exponentially better over time. It won't make you forget Oblivion, but that's not its purpose. What this very ambitious and solid RPG does is create an epic adventure that provides hours of entrainment, and any game you can say that about is worth its weight in gold.

"Two Worlds" can be a mixed bag. The multiplayer is broken and not even worth bothering with. Do not buy this game because of it, at least not at the minute. I feel a lot of people have marked the game down because of the poor multiplayer, but that is unfair.
It has a lot of potential, and it is fixable at least, so it may be reasonable in the future if anyone is still playing the game by then. The game is also worth buying on the premise of the single player alone. The lush world, with far more variety than Oblivion, the plot, and wealth of characters make it a highly recommended RPG.
However, this is no RPG-lite like Oblivion was, no dumbing down. If you like hard-core, proper RPGs in the open, sandbox style of Western games in the genre, then you will be in for a treat, as "Two Worlds" is likely the game of the year in this category.

Althoug the term “Oblivion clone” isn’t completely correct, there are multiple similarities and together with other negative points the game kind of killed itself. I expected more of Two Worlds than what Reality Pump and Zuxxez managed to produce on the Xbox 360. The PC-version is in fact a pretty good game, but on console it just sucks plain monkey-balls thanks to the major framedrops and ugly animations. They totally destroy the feeling of integration within the game environment! To me, this is the game which could have been a big hit, but due to technical shortcomings it didn’t reach its full potential. Are you looking for an RPG, buy Oblivion or something like it. It’ll give you much more for your money than Two Worlds would ever be able to. In other words, leave this game as it is. I do want to say this again: The game does rock on PC and it doesn’t deserve the same judgment this X360 version received.

Overall, we were mostly frustrated while playing this game. Chalk it up to a poorly optimized engine, a dull and generic fantasy world, all drawn from an exceedingly overused gameplay concept.

Every good video game reviewer will or has already compared Two Worlds to Oblivion. It’s easy to see why, the two games are essentially going after the same market, and they are the same type of RPG. But comparing a Bethesda game, with a first time RPG maker (Reality Pump) isn’t entirely fair. Sure, we’re comparing one of the greatest RPG’s in recent years to the new comer. Unfortunately for Two Worlds, there isn’t any comparison. Oblivion was amazing, brilliant, and a masterpiece, while Two Worlds is mediocre at best.

The game really does nothing brilliantly, but many things well enough to create a fun and enjoyable experience. I wanted to explore more before finishing the game and I'll likely return to an earlier save to see what else I missed by finishing quickly. It's not a deep, challenging experience. There are precious few moral dilemmas and rarely are their major consequences to your actions. Combat is relatively easy so that people who are twitch challenged like myself can still have fun, while those who prefer it more difficult can choose to play on Hard. Bottom line? I liked the game and would recommend it to most people except the overly fussy. It's very Gothic-like while being different in many ways as well. Grab the demo and give it a spin if you're still unsure but it's a pleasant way to spend a few spare hours.

While Two Worlds didn’t live up to my initial expectations, it did provide enough of a Fantasy RPG fix to keep me playing. Until another solid RPG comes along, I’m going to hang out and practice my sword fighting skills, but the makers of the Elder Scrolls series can relax. They’re not about to be dethroned.

Aspiration is the word to sum up Two Worlds. It wanted it all and sadly it can have it. This ambitious game is a little rough around the edges concerning the production which unfortunately hinders many of the gameplay aspects. Besides technical problems, Two Worlds ends up being too complex and utterly boring for casual gamers who could easy grasp similar games like Oblivion. The hardcore RPG fan and adventure nut will love the complex menu systems and vast world to explore, however that might be it for Two Worlds. If you’re interested in this adventure make sure you rent this one before you run out and purchase it, definitely some will love this one and other will hate it within a second. I enjoyed my time within Two Worlds, but now that this review is finished, I think I will move on past Antaloor and look for a greener pastures.

Gargantuan game worlds are big in fantasy-RPGs. But bigger doesn't necessarily trump better, as evidenced by Two Worlds -- a game doomed to endure countless unfavorable comparisons to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and regrettably too dependent on cliché and convention to qualify as unique in its own right. It's an admirable endeavor, but it's undone by its scope: Sprawling and overlong, it feels bloated rather than epic, with glimmers of brilliance insufficient to dispel the sense that developer Reality Pump bit off a bit too much.

Overall, Two Worlds will last you around 100 hours if you complete everything in the game. It's not necessarily a bad game, it just has a lot of bugs and shortfalls that make the game not nearly as fun to play. Added multiplayer options are a bonus, but are brought down worse than the single player with lag and the poor frame rate. If you are looking for an Oblivion clone to keep you busy, Two Worlds will definitely do that. The story is pretty good to follow and there is a lot to do in the world. You may just become too frustrated with the bugs to even care about it for too long.

While Two Worlds definitely got a bit better the longer I played, this was largely due to the fact that I had finally figured out some ways to make the game a bit easier to handle. I realize that there are plenty of people out there who love Two Worlds, and I’m not going to change their mind. The simple fact of the matter is that the game has a lot of potential, but it’s ultimately critically wounded by poor gameplay design and one of the worst engines in recent memory. Hopefully the next game SouthPeak releases will spend a lot more time on the drawing board.

Two Worlds fails to live up to any of its so-called promises and feels nothing more but a broken and blatant rip-off of Oblivion. The combat is a complete mess to perfect and with constant slowdowns and technical issues there is just nothing that seems to fall into place in the world of Antaloor. If you are a fan of Oblivion and have done everything you possibly can in that game, than pick this up for the nostalgia. Everyone else should just stay clear of this game at all costs.

Two Worlds strives to be the next crown jewel of the RPG genre with its large scope and imaginative gameplay elements, but suffers from a near complete lack of polish that leaves more than a few rough edges in what could have been an otherwise solid game.

If you're absolutely desperate for a further dose of free roaming RPG action after finishing up with Oblivion.... No, even at that, we can't recommend Two Worlds to you, except possibly as a cure that will put you entirely off the idea. Unless you're astonishingly tolerant of technical and interface problems, and totally addicted to dull hack-and-slash RPG combat, don't buy this game. Forsooth.

Various elements of the single-player component of Two Worlds range from decent to terrible, and the sum total experience is one that is remarkably mediocre and not much fun to play. Had the single-player experience been all that was advertised, the game would have walked away with an average score. However, Two Worlds is selling on the promise of a multiplayer component that is flat-out unplayable, and as such, the full package is well below average. Xbox 360 owners are better off playing Oblivion with a private chat channel open than attempting to play through Two Worlds.

To be honest, I sunk a ton of time into Two Worlds. When I played, I didn’t just play for twenty or thirty minutes at a time but for hours on end. I was more enamored by the game’s potential than by the game itself. There are more than a few ideas and practices that are worth of being copied, it’s just a shame that they are a part of a horribly flawed title and will most likely be ignored. There was word of a patch to improve multiplayer performance, which would be a worthwhile endeavor, but much more worthwhile would be a patch to improve performance in general. Until something is done to address the numerous technical issues, Two Worlds, regardless of potential, cannot be recommended.

Two Worlds is arguably the worst game to date on the Xbox 360. Perhaps if the developers had spent more time polishing the game, or maybe developing a game engine that wasn't entirely broken and nearly unplayable, there may have been a good game here. But I assumed that's what they were doing during the multiple delays of the game's release. Apparently they spent that time playing a better game or something, because they certainly didn't take the time to finish this one. Abhorrent framerate problems, unimaginative storytelling, dull and rough graphics, terrible voice acting, and uninspired gameplay secure Two Worlds as one of the greatest letdowns in gaming history. Two Worlds is at best worth a rental, if only to see just how terrible it really is.
