There's at least 20 hours of play time to this game - definitely not a game you can play for a few hours and be finished with it - and a lot of extra stuff to keep you coming back to play some more. All in all Ty The Tasmanian Tiger Night Of The Quinkan was an excellent game that I honestly don't think could have been any better. It gets two thumbs up from me, or rather an B+.

Variety, accessibility, value, fun and tons of content is what TY the Tasmanian Tiger is all about, and never has Krome done a better job at pulling all of these elements together than they have in TY 3: Night of the Quinkan. From third-person 'rang-based combat and Gunyip dogfights to Crabmersible piloting and cart racing, as well as Bunyip mech battles, arena combat and multiplayer modes, this game has something entertaining to do at every turn, and with at least eight hours of gameplay in addition to the extra time needed for collecting the vast array of hidden items and unlockable concept art, you'd be hard pressed to find greater value and quality in a budget-priced title anywhere.

Since many of the extremely popular platforming games are taking a genre break and trying something new, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan will satisfy gamers with their platforming desires. Even though this game really doesn’t offer anything new it is still a fun game that everyone, including smaller gamers, will enjoy.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan is an entertaining game for gamers in the young and middle-aged bracket. To adults, some may find it too childish, whereas others would enjoy it. With nice colors and somewhat amusing characters, the graphics come out to be rather pleasant to the eye. The cutscene animation could use a bit of work, but there isn’t much to complain in terms of the visuals.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan is a predictable sequel to the first two iterations of the franchise. That doesn't make it bad. In fact, it's still enjoyable, especially as straightforward platformer for kids. My younger nephew plays and really likes the first two Ty outings and I'm confident he'll like this one, too. But the Ty series has never been original and this latest version feels like a copy of a copy. Gamers who played and didn't like the other two versions will find nothing new here and Ty fans may find themselves wondering why very little has changed.

The Ty games have always seemed to be targeted squarely at a younger crowd, with simple gameplay and over-the-top cartoonish characters. However, even a younger crowd needs to have a more consistent and interesting gameplay experience than that which is present in Ty 3. There's no doubt that there's some charm to this game, but when it comes down to a good gameplay experience, Ty 3 is severely lacking.

Night of the Quinkan is a natural progression for Krome Studios' series. Most people will probably ignore the latest installment because of its deceptive art direction and marketing, but anyone looking for a lengthy, varied platformer with hidden secrets up the wazoo and tongue-in-cheek humor should find themselves enjoying Night of the Quinkan more than they would have expected.

In terms of gameplay, this boils down to a series of level-based objectives that range from using a biplane to escort a giant bug to safety, to destroying all of the enemies in an arena level. In between the missions, there are a bevy of different side quests that offer monetary and item rewards. The problem is that there's little purpose, other than wanton completionism, to actually participate in these side missions.

A game that is a little more fun to play than it sounds simply due to the easy and fun game play. Unfortunately the graphics and story are weak. Also the same easy game play that makes it fun also makes this title quickly find its way to the bottom of your entertainment center drawer.
