Description

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a majored version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. The gameplay is the same as the previous game and a new system called X-Factor has added and consists to increase the strength, speed and health recovery of the characters for a short time and 12 new characters like Frank West, Nemesis, Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye and more are added in this game.

Trivia

Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami

The material included in this game was originally scheduled to be released as DLC for Marvel vs. Capcom 3; however after the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and health issues concerning the staff of developer Eighting, Capcom decided to release the remaining DLC as this game, and added additional content and rebalanced gameplay. The two DLC that had already been released for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Jill Valentine from Capcom's Resident Evil series and Shuma-Gorath, remained applicable.

In addition to the 38 characters (counting Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath) included in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 added 12 other characters. In alphabetical order and by series, they are as follows:

Self-titled: Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Nova
