Ultimine (Windows)

Ultimine Windows Playing the deluxe version means that although three mines have blown up there is still a game to be played. Shame about the three 20 second time penalties though.

Ultimine is a single-player, Minesweeper type of game. It is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.

This game can be played in two ways, there is the standard version in which clicking on a mine results in instant death, and the deluxe version in which clicking on a mine incurs a twenty second time penalty. In each case the objective is the same, deduce the position of all the mines on the board.

The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window which cannot be re-sized. There are four standard board sizes 8 x 8, 16 x 16, 30 x 16 and 40 x 25, as well as a custom screen option. The game has sound, different backgrounds, a high score table, and in-game help screens.
