Vanishing Cross
Description
Vanishing Cross is a single player Solitaire or Patience game. It is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different game compilation packages.
In this game the player is presented with a 3x3 grid into which six cards have been played face up. Outside the grid is the remainder of the pack placed face down from which cards are taken one at a time. The card in the top left corner is the base card. The object of the game is to build all the cards by suit in ascending order, with one suit in each of the four corners of the grid, starting with the base card in each suit. The remaining five cells, which form a cross shape, are used to hold the cards the player is working with. Cards added to these cells are added in descending order.
The game is entirely mouse controlled. It is played in a window which cannot be re-sized. The game has sound, different backgrounds and types of card back, a single move 'undo' feature and in-game help screens.
